Julia Kalijyoti Vosen – My path to becoming a yoga teacher was the most important journey to myself
I was born on 16 February 1979 in Schwerin. Like so many, my journey began with a search. A search for peace, for balance in a hectic everyday life, for a deeper understanding of life and myself. For me, yoga was initially a way to release physical tension and calm my thoughts. But soon I realised that yoga is much more than a physical practice – it is a way of life, a connection between body, mind and soul.
My first experiences on the yoga mat were characterised by curiosity, but also by challenges. It wasn’t always easy to be patient with myself and accept where I was at. But the more I practised, the deeper I delved into the philosophy of yoga, the stillness of meditation and the power of conscious breathing. These moments on the mat became my anchor, my retreat and my source of strength.
Today I know that yoga is more than a practice – it is a way of life. It is not just about mastering a perfect posture, but about consciously and mindfully experiencing every moment of life. As a yoga teacher, I want to pass on this message. I want to create a space where people feel safe and secure, where they can explore their own limits and discover their inner strength
My journey to becoming a yoga teacher changed me. It showed me that growth often begins where we feel most vulnerable. Yoga taught me to let go, to trust and to see beauty in the here and now. I am infinitely grateful for this – and also for the people who have accompanied me on this journey.
Today, I step onto the mat full of joy and humility, ready to share my experiences and my love of yoga. I am convinced that yoga not only strengthens the body but also heals the soul. My wish is to inspire others on their own journey and to show them that they can find everything they need within themselves. Because that is what yoga ultimately is: a return to ourselves.
